A very unique tango band
‘Cabaret Tango’ has a variable and flexible form, often hosting old and new friends, however there are a few musicians who are the core of the band. Here they are!
Keyboards, synth, drum-machine and digital sorcery. Indefatigable, with an unmistakable look, he is the engine of our group. He has being doing a lot of things in music and theater… and now, well, he’s stuck with us.
Violin, keyboard and a lot (I mean a lot) of work on arrangements. She is our fabulous violinist, perfect-pitch blessed, able to find creative solutions on the spot and to sort out the chaos and the doubts coming from notes once forgotten and now found again. ‘What on Earth is that?’… she knows (often).
Classical guitar and common sense. He is the full time musician. He keeps us on track with is confident beat and writes down nice organised chord-charts. Ask him to try a new song and there he is (but, whatever happens, do not mention ‘The Girl from Ipanema’). He is the sensible one, who, amid the general enthusiasm, says: “Guys, we are not ready to play that one”…
Voice, shakers and other little noisy things. Velvety voice and Mediterranean charm, he’s the heartbroken romantic – slightly more traditional – member. Multilingual singing and few good ideas, now and then, he is one of our singers. Just look for the guy with braces sorting cables at the end of the gig.
Voice and violin. With her North-European allure, she is our Finnish singer. Her versatile singing style allows us to explore unsuspected musical frontiers, mixing folk , jazzy mood and even a little of hard rock. She is involved in a lot of things concerning dance; if curious just ask her!
Voice, acoustic and electric guitar. A bit of a human jukebox he seems to know a lot of songs. He has a very personal style in singing. If you come to one of our concerts and have the impression of seeing Bob Dylan walking around… it’s probably him (I do not mean Bob Dylan, for some reason he never wanted to join us).
